Music [Rory Tilt]
‘ rory tilt makes vivid, ambient, signal-surfing soundworlds that draw from the melancholia of pre-pandemic Glaswegian dance-floors, taxis home, and (most importantly) the following sunday sunrises. he likes to patch complicated systems using modular synth that can then be twiddled on mindlessly, chasing sounds around atop tracks he took too long to make at home’
Ambient record composed solely with the ASM hydrasynth.

Live sets can be club-friendly, ambient, housey, abstract, or anywhere in between.
Made slowly over the course of two years, with modular & hardware synths, as well as samples collected travelling in Scotland, Japan and Europe.
Many friends & memories feature in different ways.
EP made focussing on the endorphin.es Queen of Pentacles drum module (effectively a eurorack version of the 909). The intention was to interact with the module in a performative way.
Onich was made for my friends Marquis’ (who I met/collaborated with on a residency in Catalonia) and Carolina, (Marquis’ partner). I met them in Onich when they visited Scotland, where they made me lunch.
Fair Land was produced for my lifelong friend Dawn for her birthday. It reflects on the village we grew up in, and thinking about childhood moments I can’t remember.
